More detailed explaination for status codes

This list gives a more detailed message about the intent of the various VSO status codes. Please see the API documentation for an explaination of the format of a VSO status message.

200
The request has been completed without any errors occuring
201
The request has been completed using cached information
202
The request has been accepted for processing. You should receive a message when the process has completed
300
The request was ambiguous, and needs further clarification
400
The request was improperly formatted or missing a required element
405
The request asked for a transfer method that the provider did not support
412
The request was missing a required information field
500
The request could not be completed due to a problem at the Data Provider or VSO Instance
505
The request was not sent using a version that the server could understand
600
The request returned multiple responses. The message should be decomposed into its component parts and checked again.
